Ah, shame it's not in better shape.

Probably a few good parts.

But then..

It's probably free.

Is that a Lester front wheel, or a Yamaha clone?

Didn't both Kawasaki and Yamaha make wheels similar to the Lesters?  Otherwise it is a couple hundred in that wheel, no?

Yes, Kawasaki had mag wheels starting in '77 on the KZ1000.

Kawasaki had clones of Morris wheels, and Yamaha had clones of Lester wheels...
The cross-section of a Morris spoke is a "+", while a Lester spoke is more of an "H" or "I". That's the easiest way to tell the difference.

What is this? Steve-o?

It's a 1976 model. I'm thinking the LTD model. This would make it a KZ model.

Waiting on some pictures but the:

Frame: Z1F-114839
Engine: Z1E-133601

1976 KZ900-A4  Z1F-85701 through Z1F-13xxxx for bikes manufactured in Japan

Yes, it's a KZ900, only year was '76. Not a Z1 and not collectible. In '77, the KZ was 1000cc and then the LTD model was offered too [had one, great bike]

The trailer is now parked. Corky has about 16 bikes to move first. Will see what happens on the next trip.

I'm pretty much done unless he runs across something I would want. Nothing but junk in my area. Bikes I would like to buy are either sold before I can set things up or seller does not want to be bothered. No biggie. Keep them.

So, instead of another project bike come September I'm ordering up a mini split system for the shop. (heat and cool) I'll install in October when things cool down.

Three years I have been kicking this football. It's time.  ;)

Congrats, glad you have pulled the trigger on the system for the garage. Going to super insulate the garage to improve its efficiency?
Are the garage doors sealing well and insulated? Lots of places in southern AZ don't have garages because of the furnace they are in the heat, they have carports instead.
Having a nice workshop that can stay comfortable will be nice.

Nope. Throwing in an AC. No additions except maybe insulating the garage door.

80-85 degress is fine out in the shop.

Hey John - one of my projects at work is building out an office space out of an old garage, approx 600 sq ft.
I had a 3 ton Mitsubishi mini split installed at a cost of $5K, installed. It is a heat pump so will act as a furnace as well, although rarely needed here.  It works fantastic. It required 220V 30 amp service.

I'm considering get one for my garage too. But have no space in my elec panel, maybe I should junk the hot tub?!

We had those kind of units installed in three of the rooms where we had computer servers in office space that was previously built out, just remodeled before we moved off post into the space a few years back in my former job.  They had trouble with one of the units, something on the install or the unit was wrong/defective and we had several instances of the unit icing over and shutting down. This caused thermal run away on the servers until the systems were shutdown with the temps in the room rising to the high 90s.
They work pretty well but the space is limited that they can control.  I would imagine ToyTuff's garage has pretty high BTU cooling needs to even bring it to 80-85F.

It will be nice to have I am sure, as afternoons or evenings will be tolerable to work in the space if he wants to do so.  He's just going to have to learn to not get up at 4AM and sleep a little later.  Seeing the sun rise is nice but unless it is a cloudy day they are much the same in blue skies of AZ...they only get real colorful with some clouds about...

Any system can have issues if not installed properly.  We have a small mini split in the server room at my office, 3 years old and never an issue. It's the coldest room in the space.
I'm guessing Johns garage is about 450 sq ft, 3 tons will cool it if it is insulated.

David, the AC unit on the roof has iced up. No, the garage is 550 sq. ft. You have to add 10% for Arizona and 10% if not shaded.

Steve, don't know the ton thing but at least a 18K unit for my shop. Around $1500 to $1800 shipped. This is for a 16 to 17 seer rating unit.
As far as power an 8/4 wire with a dryer plug in one end. My 220 in the shop is 25 ft. of where I want to put the outside unit. We only do wash about once a week. No sense in spending the money to run a 220 line the entire length of the house.

The best prices are AJ Madison out of New York. The bad news are the reviews of issues. Not good. They do offer free ship and no tax. Want to get one ordered before the nitwits apply internet tax. Not sure how far out that is.

Is it a ductless system? And does it come charged with freon? If not, additional expense.
In Texas, one cannot buy freon or HVAC systems without a license.

Thought our new business was going to be the TV show, "Honda Hunters"?
I've been looking for a bigger trailer and already told the wife!
