jas67 << I found this diagram that shows it in detail. Now I know what I need so if you are still digging out in the garage find me the bracket.  ;)

Item 7 is what I need.

No, it's obvious actually. Not a matter of knowing the model. Even the 750 bikes were the same.  ;)

Going to get hot in Texas today? 112 by 1100 hrs. here.

What year is the CB160 again?

In 1967, and maybe some late '66 bikes, they had aluminum lowers that were silver.    Everything earlier had steel lowers that were painted the basic color of the bike.

I have three 160's, two CB, and one CL, all titled as 1967's.    The CB's both have the steel lowers (black, in my bikes' cases), and CL has the silver aluminum lowers, so is probably a later bike.

TT -- here are the battery box pics.   I posted them here in the thread in case anyone else wants to see them.

Right side:

Later style, on my CL160 (which has the later aluminum fork lowers)

Earlier style, both my CB160's:

The left side is the same on all three, but two of mine are missing the hinge pin that is fastened to the fixed part with a bolt.

I'm still waiting for the third thing wrong in this picture. Honda Nut caught the missing seat strap and CL bars but there is one more thing.

What is it David?

Is this even the same bike that you show the left and the right side of a few posts back? I do see that same picture on google images a few times.

Cold front? Is that like rain?

Well, well. Took the better part of six days but I received a text message at 2240 hrs. that the S90 deal was in fact..in the trailer.

Now we wait for the report concerning condition of each and two years of parts buying with the deal.

I think it's pretty safe to say this running bike looks good already.

No hurry.    As you can see by the pics, my bikes are nowhere near ready to put a battery in and run.
I'm still in a parts gathering stage with mine.

I have gotten the fenders and side covers painted, as a friend was getting some bodywork in the same color.
I also have NOS tanks for both of them.

Probably the most challenging thing that I need for mine are mufflers.   I have a perfect one for my CL160, and one "OK" set of CB160 mufflers, but that is it.    I wish David Silver Spares made repros for the 160.    They do such a nice job with the exhausts they do for the CB400F and other four cylinder bikes.

I'm also going to have to put new rims and spokes on one of my CB160's.   It is a rust bucket.   I bought it because it was cheap ($300).   By all rights, it probably should've been a parts bike, but it has a title, so, I'm saving it.

Are you on the Hondatwins.net forum?    You should do a build thread there for your CB160.
