Where's Toy?   Trailer doesn't seem to be traveling.....

Hanging out, doing nothing but cooking, eating and sleeping. Humidity unbearable this month. Forecast rain thru Tuesday which is good.

Trailer is parked. Corky has over 40 bikes and I sold the S90 models. Back down to two. CB350G will also be flipped for CB160 funding. 1K in parts already in the garage for the CB160. Still need battery, paint and some other items. Just received $300 in OEM Honda parts for the build plus tires, tubes, gasket kits, cables, side covers, battery box parts etc.

Thinking of a frame off depending on how it cleans up although I don't want to paint the frame. Fenders and side covers will need repainted so I have to order the paint for that.

Will see. Estimated delivery in October so I'll make that decision then.

Toytuff, see if you can find a Honda Power dealer that carries the spraycan of Cloud Silver. They use it on ATVs and equipment and it may be less expensive through that channel than where you last bought it. Worth doing some calling and emailing and poking about.
Glad to see you back and good deal on the 160 parts. Look forward to the thread on the 160 once it arrives and is started.

I'll use the paint from Marble Motors for most. I might just send the fenders and side covers to him. Have it done professionally.

I plan on taking my time and throwing some money at this one. They seem to be getting high dollar as of late.

Nothing to work on. Everything is done. Just now cooled off a little but rain thru Wednesday.

I do have to take down my 22' Flag Pole and replace the rope and associated parts. The rope gave out after 5 years or so which is pretty good. I do go through 3 Flags a year however.

Amazing how the brass eyelets of the Flag wears on the parts.

Corky picked up two more S90 bikes with engine. Still trying to figure out VIN numbers.

Blue: VIN- S90-796321 (chrome fenders equals late model)

Black: VIN- S90-524298

If I remember correctly you check the tag on the wiring harness. Not much info on the net.

He did good for $350.00. Going back this week to possibly pick me up another CB160. Waiting on pictures. All stock except mufflers cut back. Will see.

The seller is a recent Widow and her husband use to be a dealer. I'm looking for those hard to find Honda tools and a grease gun. Has several CT90 bikes also. Fingers crossed but for $200.00 I'll buy the CB160.  ;)

I have some experience with both models.  My brother owned a new S90 in 1965, and a while ago I had a CB160 in my collection for a few years.

Yeah? Nice pair of S90s and is the CBX done deal? The blue one is a '68 or '69... My Ruby Red Metallic is a 11/69 build and has a build plate on the right side of the frame neck.
Cool on the 2nd CB160.
I think I would rather have a CB160 than my CA95.
Is the CBX going to be yours? The Yang to your white Yin?

Corky is 55 minutes away from checking the 160 out. Hitting snow and black ice now. We have been texting each other.

The CBX is the Son of the guy I bought my 82 from. I knew he had it and put a bug in his ear long ago. I posted this way back.

It is now for sale however several issues concern me. Originality is everything. This is not. Although the paint work is nice (his father owned a body shop) the colors are wrong for 1979 model.

Frame is silver.
Tank, rear cowl is Black with Silver stripe.
67K on the clock. Compression unknown.
Aftermarket exhaust.
Asking 4K. I'll offer 3K as tops.
Need to check with Corky on shipping.

Not real excited about it given the above and the money it would take to get it to my standards. The cost versus originality is just not there.

Given the CBX popularity and prices it would not take long for the cost to be recouped if you were upside down on cost versus market value. But that is if you were to consider selling after you were done. If it were a good running example and compression acceptable I think the rest could be dealt with and you would have a very nice restored bike, not an original, but nicely (excellent) restored. They are becoming harder to find in original condition given the age of the bikes and they command good money.

67K mikes?  Deal killer in my book. That drops the value considerably and can you imagine doing a full rebuild? No thanks.

Decided to pass on the CBX. They are BIG dollar to do right.

I did however pick up another CB160. I believe it's a 1968 or 1969 model. Still checking.

The bike is complete right down to the battery brackets. The seat is wrong or at best missing foam and cover.

Yeah! Battery strap!

Few bumps and scrapes.

What the heck?

Engine does not turn over but given the mileage I have no doubt it will turn over.

Will get a title before delivery. Paid $500 including fuel and transport. Be a good parts source then flip for profit.

Can anyone help identify the year of this CB160.

VIN is CB160-1078328, Engine B160-1078090.

I believe it to be a 1968. My 1969 is CB160-1086530. Going to get it titled this week.

Thanks.

After several months I just took delivery of three (3) Honda's. Needless to say my garage is packed not to mention I'll be busy this Winter.

The 1969 CB160 is in fine condition with 5800 miles.

The 1968 is not as nice but complete.

The 1973 CB350G is just sweet! All there and in fantastic condition. Not even washed yet. Chrome is sweet, no dents in anything.

Only issue now is where to start.  ::) Was going to flip the CB350G but now I am not sure. It's in very good condition with 3600 miles on the clock.

Finally!   All kinds of Toys, what a sweet delivery.

I would start with the easiest one to get running, the 350?

Congrats, John.
