New To Forum Introduction
« on: July 07, 2013, 03:26:17 PM »
Hey all..... New here and thought I would introduce myself.

I'm Dylan and live in Talladega Alabama.

Just traded for a 1977 Honda 750A thats gonna need a lot of work but I wanted a bigger bike and the guy traded me straight up for a 79 qt50.

It kicks over freely but was in the middle of a re-wire. I have the blown up wire diagram and service manuel so I will eventually check that all wires are good.

Then the fuel lines are cut in half so I can replace those and hook back up front disk brake.

Tank is super clean on inside and the seat is still in great shape.

I am currently trying to un-freeze the back tire (locked-up) Probably this parking break as it does not move freely at all. Only about a quarter inch pedal movement. the spline may be frozen at the foot pedal housing??

Anyways I will keep reading first then ask questions later. Any tips on searching cause i must be doing it wrong.

Example "Rear tire stuck on cb750a" yeilds 0 results??

Thanks All
Dylan

I doubt that you're doing the search wrong - there just aren't any results!

The A forum has only existed for a few years - so we certainly haven't covered every possible problem.

If you don't have an Owner's Manual - you can download one from here, too.

In regards to the Parking Brake, I vaguely recall one or two others have corrosion issues.  Suggest pulling the cover and at a minimum spraying a good penetrating oil into the area.
1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.
