That superclean crap is deadly.
It took the clearcoat off a set of wheels I had like it was nothing...

I once tryed some oven cleaner on a set of MT valve covers for a big block. It didn't do anything though
I sure thought I'd heard it would. Looks like that stuff you had Lumbee would have done the trick.

Wow, I have cleaned a lot of aluminum parts with super clean,  and never had those results!

Normally dilute it and soak/scrub, soak/scrub though, not an overnighter.

Thanks for posting that, I'll remember not to leave anything soaking very long from now on.

I've heard rumors that this stuff (and Simple Green too) was banned from use in and around aircraft by the FAA for this reason.  Anybody else heard this?

I've used it (Simple Green) under the hood on my truck to clean up the engine compartment, and it worked great as long as you rinse the #$%* out of everything and dry it right away with the leaf blower.

...yea, I don't want to scare people away from super clean...i use it on anything (aluminum or otherwise) that I want clean...just don't soak the parts in it.  Just use it as a surface clean for grease/dirt, and like steve said just rinse the chit out of it before drying...

I'm trapped- I don't know what the heck to use anymore.  I finally used S100 on my Beemer and now it looks like a statue in a park that pigeons have nested on.  The streaks are killing me.  I'm thinking clean is highly over rated.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!
