thanks for the welcome, im at brighton near sandgate, might see about getting it registered on the club rego thing through the VJMC. Have any of you gone down that path? i currently ride an fj1200 and am happy to keep riding that as my daily ride but wouldnt mind being able to take cb out, well legally at least.  ken

There is a 750 honda club in Bris Ken, they should be able to help with club rego, I think the meet the last Sunday of every month at Belmont- Tingalpa. Send a private message to Frostyboy {Owen}on this forum, he's a member and a really nice guy... ;)

gday Steve, at 1st i wasn't sure if it was original as  i thought it looked to good, but now I'm convinced it is as I'm finding evidence that the rest is original as well, such as the yellow dabs of paint that's applied to bolts after they were torqued in the factory and the date on some hoses etc, i will have to replace them i think , went out for a ride today to warm it up to change the oil and i have to admit i enjoyed the experience, again,    regards   ken

When you start looking at buying parts Ken start a build thread mate, most parts suppliers in Aus are really expensive, so we can point you in the right direction, its amazing what you can get for these bikes these days... ;)

thanks for the tips, i do source my parts from overseas mainly because of price , but any leads on good suppliers is welcome, a few years back i had a run in with a local yamaha dealer who tried to justify charging 3 times the amount for the same stuff i could get online and blamed all of us for not supporting local business, as i told him he needed to support us aswell,,    anyway i did my 1st oil/filter change yesterday and glad i read up on it on this site because the oil tank was completely full of sludge up to where it flows out and i would have overlooked that and would have just stirred all that slop up when refilling it.. ken
