timbo- yep, kept it two up, my wife is brave enough to saddle up with me lol nope problem with ground clearance, some big bumps make it feel like it's pretty close to bottoming out but they've gotta be pretty big. Yeah my stock seat, although very comfortable, looked too big and goofy for my taste. Sold it, trimmed the back of the frame, welded on a hoop from a dude on here. My friend cut and fabbed the seat pan as well as the brackets for it, and I had a guy in town do the upholstery. Made it a little beefier than the traditional brat style seats so that its comfy on longer trips and since the 750s are kinda big anyway its still proportionate, I'm really happy with the turnout. My friend that made the seat pan for me also helped me out with the exhaust. I got the mufflers from Dime City Cycles and we ordered the piping and made the headers from that. Sounds great and wayyy more clearance than the 4-1 Mac system that was on there before.
Buster- Thanks! I ran across another dude who stripped his caliper and thought it looked better and was a pretty quick thing to do especially since I had the caliper taken apart anyway to rebuild it. Just looks a little cleaner than the black, kind of odd that it was painted to begin with? Good luck on your K8, you have any photos?
