I appreciate that very much. Problem is shipping. Sometimes you can fill a trailer and get a good rate. Other times not.

Say for example $600 to ship to AZ. Add that to purchase price. You get the idea.  ;) Therefore you have to find a clean bike at a low cost. Hard to do today.

Chew...my sunflake has the same fade on the top of the tank. Sides and covers are perfect. You can touch up the white, gold and black decals if you need. I am not repainting my tank either...the fade adds to the era, plus it is only original once. Great find and have fun with it.

Ask and you shall receive.  Does not look that bad at all.  Even the carbs are still liquid.  Gas is turning to varnish as I write this so that will need to be addressed fairly quickly.  The engine is pretty clean no big head oil mess or anything.  Chrome is decent as well.  It is showing just over 13,000 on the clock.  Also last pic is the old sidecover and one I painted just for fun.

You are so right they are only original once, and the faded look gives it a little character.  Thanks for the tip on the decals, but I think I will leave the bumps and bruises in tact.

I say go with the survivor look too. 754 advised me to with my k1 and I decided to leave it rough looking. Only original once

+1....leave original.  Clean bowls and jets, flush out tank and you'll be riding this weekend!

Makes sense if you think about it even for resale some collector might really want that weather look.  Can't duplicate that very easily if at all.

Yeah that is what it looks like to me just a tank flush with a mild cleaning and I will be able to fire it up.  Will probably do the right thing and give an oil change and soak the pistons and bores a bit.  Stuck rings happen quite frequently on an engine that has been sitting 20 years.

Nice buy! Can I ask how much you dropped? I assume was a good deal!

You can ask, but I won't say a word.  It was once a decade type thing unless you got Greggo's luck.

HA!!!!!  Luck is for dogs...I'm persistent, pennywise, and patient.

Nice find ;)
