Help identifying forks.
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:58:28 AM »
Could someone with a 550 please check for any stampings on the inside of their fork bottoms and please let me know the results? I'm trying to get replacements for my bike and have come across a pair with 341 stamped on them.

TIA

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Is 341 stamped on the actual fork or just on the axle cap?

I'm not sure, I don't have them at hand. Though I have found out the 78 Hondamatic has the same part number as the 550.

The stamping is on the inside of the forks, around the area where the fork brace of the mudguard/fender for those who don't use boats  goes.

Les, the latter 77/78 legs are number 404's. They're a little longer than the originals.
