Petcock Question
« on: July 11, 2013, 07:50:15 PM »
So my petcock stopped flowing in the on position. Is still flows in Reserve. I need to take it apart and clean everything out and make sure all the seals are good. Till then, can I just keep it on reserve and continue riding?

you will be sucking up all the nasty stuff off the bottom of the tank, hope you have a good filter but that won't stop any water droplets should you have any.......................

You can, but why don't you just pull it real quick and clean it?

May want to flush the tank while you are in there.

Can not get to it tonight and need it for work tomorrow. Not a long term solution, just to get by for a day or two.

Sure you can.  That's what you'd do on reserve anyway, yes?

Since you're planning on taking it all apart and cleaning/replacing whatever it needs, then as long as it runs fine on reserve, I say go for it.

All the best,

Shane
