Welcome.  Who did you piss off to get sent here in August?

I'm up in the Woodlands, which thanks to urban sprawl is about 70 miles from Alvin but still part of the Houston metroplex.

Have fun down there, maybe swing a trip down to Galveston if you can to beat the heat.

tsflstb,
I grew up in Spring from 72 to 79 and it was like a little cow town. Righ t off 1960 and I45. The high schools where Spring north and Spring south. I think it is now Westland or Westmoore. I'm trying to find a couple old friend but not sure if there still around. I know exactly where your at. Went back in 84 and was part of the city limits. This place has gown so much its not even funny. I volinteered to come down here. I realy did forget how hot and humid it is being from colorado this is murder. 90% humidity yesterday, Colorado maybe 10% himidity. We have some guy's (4) going tonight to the beach but skipped out. Been there many of time's. I cant believe the ratio of bike's in Colorado to here. way more in Colorado. I'm not sure if I would want to ride down here in this heat. Plus the driver are A little more aggressive here.

Only the hard core types ride here in the summer.  It's just miserable with this heat -- plus it rains every day at 2:00 because of the heat and humidity.  Compared to Colorado, it's really not that much fun to ride down here, everything is flat and straight - plus everyone drives a huge truck or SUV.  I sold my sport bike when I moved back here because of the lack of fun roads and traffic.

The growth is amazing.  You probably wouldn't recognize your old home town.  I don't think it will stop until every inch of the area is either paved or covered with a tract home.

Anyway, I'm sure you're familiar with all Houston has to offer.  Museums, strip clubs, ballet, strip clubs, symphony, theater, strip clubs, pro sports, world class dining and strip clubs.  If I get a kitchen pass one weekend, I'll let you know.  I'm kept on a pretty short leash with a toddler and newborn at the house.  Have fun.

Met a couple of really cool electician's and one of them is in a band. There playing in Galveston, so look's like I'll be going to check them out this saturday. I picked up a cd of there ep and sound's pretty good.

hey all,
Still in houston and haveing a misserable time I think I'm pissing everyone off. the train that comes by every 2 hours is starting to get to me. I'm not working today because I didnt get my pay check till 6:00 yesterday from the mail and I'm suppost to be payed on friday of last weeek. They said they mailed it out on friday and it can take anywhere from 5 to 7 working days. I have lived in Colorado since 91 and have never had a piece of mail take longer than 2 day's. I started getting upset with my boss back in Co and stated my concerns about my money. He stated that when they have mailed paychecks out it has taken that long. I asked then if it went priority, he said they sent it out regular mail. I asked if it went out when he mailed the others DHL on thursday and he said no. I asked why not. I called them Sat. and he said as soon as he talked to his partner that he would call me back. I never heard a word. I finally ended up talking with him yesterday afternoon and he said his partner mailed it out friday. I asked why he didnt send it priority mail and he said he just mailed it regular mail. I said well then someone need's to cut me a new check and drive it by my house. He didn't like me demanding that but I talked to him on sat and said if it wasnt there by tuesday that he could do it for me. Now he gets all upset when I stated that that is what should be done.
When it got to my house late yestesterday the post mark on the envelope say's Aug 14. So it really wasn't mailed out till monday. They got my address wrong and the zip and it still got it in 2 day's. So I desided not to work today. :) Look's like I'll be looking for a new job when I get back. This is the first time I have worked with this furniture and trying to learn what the symbols are for. No legend on the blue print and noone can tell me what it means. I'm not the smartest person in the world but I do know that everything on a blueprint has a meaning. The owner even sent his father here to babysit all the guys because they like to party alot. As soon as something happens he is on the phone ratting them out. and has no authority to tell them how it is going to be. I would think that if someone related to the owner would have some kinda pull. Not in this case. I never thought I would miss Co so much in my life. I'm hopeing they sent me back on a bus only a 3 day trip. but it would be worth it, in my eye's.

My 75 wing broke the drive shaft the day before I got here. There are only 12 left in the country when I checked last week. So it looks like I'll be ordering another one really soon. probably before I leave here.
Sorry for all the #$%*en, I hope to be home soon so I can have a normal life.
