LUCKY<  That Cycle One frame has been GOOSE NECKED and the steering neck has been lowered and not on a straight backbone . If you modify a STOCK CB frame neck to get +10 degrees you have to add 6" to fork length.  BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

Stock frame with 36 degrees rake.

That Cycle One frame is built from scratch. The neck height is -1.
The front forks are stock CB750 front forks.
The rake is 36ยบ.

The entire frame is lower than a stock CB750.
It has 5 inches ground clearance.

I've heard rumors that RED GOOD  would know a whole lot about that CYCLE ONE FRAME!!!   I could be wrong , but that's what I've heard!!

Red Good built that frame so he certainly does know all about it.
I would appreciate you not calling him about this discussion.
He is very busy these days.

Thanks Lucky. So I was wondering if you have experience riding a CB750 with 6" of trail, or have you just read the same articles as I have?

I've only ridden one and didn't like it.
Low speed steering is REALLY heavy and as Lucky says it want's to flop from one side to the other.
As a styling exercise that will be trailered around it will be totally great, as something to ride, unless you manage to avoid any traffic/low speed it will work.
As with everything, just because it can be done and has been done, it doesn't make it sensible or practical (after all, you 'could' cut your head off but personally I wouldn't recommend that either)

I agree completely.
The trail must be adjusted by some method, to get the bike to be pleasant to ride.

On the Cycle One frame I did not give you
the trail or the fork triple clamp offset.
Those are considerations.
Also handlebar length.

I KNOW who RED GOOD is !! Have had MANY parties with him and KATE in the last 6 years. I was not calling him out on this , just mentioning if anyone would know the variables of a CYCLE ONE frame HE would be the MAN.

I would SUGGEST you get the length forks you want to run then adjust the rake of the frame so it sits level.
The statement made about tires is not actually true. there is only 1' difference in DIAMETER between a stock 19" tire and a 21" and this won't change the trail amount much.
