Honda CB-1 (NC27)
« on: July 12, 2013, 09:25:52 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with the 1989-1990 CB-1? There has been one available locally for awhile and I'm curious about it. A "modern" reincarnation of the 400f?

You can still buy a incarnation of it new here in Australia.

I haven't ridden one but I think they are very cool.

I'd buy one if the price were right

It's the gear driven cams and 13.5K rpm redline that caught my interest. They were only available for two years here in north america, but for quite awhile longer in Japan and other places. So the parts are readily available from UK suppliers.  I've only seen a couple come up for sale in the last few years $3000-4000.  The one that is up for sale now the fellow is asking $1800 with 26500km.  Whats a market value price on a bike like this? Or is it rare enough that it is what a seller will pay sets it?

A friend owns one, and we did an endurance race at Mosport last year between four of us. Cool little bike. Not as fast as my FZR400. Don't see too many around... wanna hear one screaming out on the track? Here's some footage of me at Mosport last August...first time on one. I love the sound she makes!
