I have used U-Ship and had no problems bringing the CBX down from Idaho. I realize it was the shipper, not the Company.

It does make me a little more skeptical next time.

So, what's a windscreen going to cost? Will U-Ship replace it?

I took out the insurance but it is a 500 deductible so I guess I'll be out whatever it cost to replace.  But I am hopeful it will be located.  As far as the shipper I did not realize that he had zero feedback, I didn't know Uship used feedback ratings just like Ebay.  He was the only shipper that bid to bring the PC from CO to PA.  ...Larry

Ah ha! Yup, ratings. Mine was pretty high. Great guy. Would love to use him again but I don't think he runs to Michigan. Found a nice CB77. 2300 miles one way. Argggg!

Tell ya what. I would like to help. Around 2 bills at Baileys.

I'll donate $25.00 towards a windscreen.  ;)

Anybody else?

There are good shipping companies on Uship and I used one several years ago. The company that still has the windscreen, if they still do, then they are liable for getting it to you. If it is still in the garage, then different matter.

Don't know what Uship's liablity would be. Shipper is in breach of contract.

Windscreen is likely to be $60-100, but I don't know.

New at Baileys start at $180 plus ship. Might be less somewhere else.

I don't think U-Ship will be liable for anything David. It's the shipper and he is gone. Long gone.

Just looked on ebay...
one is $25 + shipping and it has some minor blemishes and 4 bids... another $140 shipped with another pair at about $260...

So, not cheap...

Momo, leave negative feedback on Uship, Angie's List, and file a police report against the scumbag where he lives of his property theft of your windscreen.
Sorry you are having to deal with this.

Or replace the wind screen and move on.

We looked the property over pretty well, I didn't put hands on things but checked the garage, front entry, screened porch from outside and looked in the windows of the car outside, not wanting to believe it wasn't left right there for us to find.
I'm going to give a bit of polish and cover it up for now. Hopefully it will all fall together now. No rush Larry, She's safe and snug.

I am sleeping a lot better knowing that the PC is in good hands.  The "shippers" response to my question about location of the windshield  "Maybe ask the seller?  ??? ??? ??? It was clearly on the bike in the Ebay photos.  Uship has credited my account for all the fees I put out so hopefully I'll have a better experience second time around.  Their insurance is a 500 deductible so I will be out whatever the replacement cost.  thanks again to DonR...Larry

I  talked to Larry on the phone this afternoon, just goes to prove, you meet the nicest people on a Honda forum. I'm so glad I was able to help a little. Now, to connect with the new shipper and get this Honda on it's way east.
