Larry,
Thanks!
Some removable bags could be made with some paper templates as guides. Given they aren't exactly square boxes. Would be handy for shopping and traveling with the bike.

I am glad the bike is meeting expectations and is gorgeous (imho).

Just got back from a quick 80 mile test ride with the new Dunlops.  WOBBLE-FREE ;D 8)  First time I have had someone else mount my tires ??? but it was worth it as he had all the necessary equipment to mount and spin balance the new Dunlop K555.  Tire spoons and a Harbor Freight jig would not have done the trick.  I can ride with one hand on the bars or even let go if necessary and the bike doesn't go into a death-defying shimmy and that is  8)

the new front

new rear

The replacement windshield came in,  bought a slightly tinted  one to help with sun glare-works better than the clear one on my Silverwing

I just about ride all year save for threats of snow, ice, rain or extremely cold weather,  guess I'd make a poor postman.

I am very pleased with the bike, I can see why there is a cult-like following...Larry

Glad it worked out for you, Larry.  When buying bikes out of state, patience is a virtue.

Now I am waiting on a K5 that I bought a month ago.

I have bought bikes from NJ, NY, MD and DE but I was able to travel to pick them up, this did require patience to say the least but I am happy with the end result.  I was thinking of a Concours in GA at the same time I was looking at the PC but decided to stick with Honda.  Actually, I've never owned a Kawi, I lost out on a 550 GPZ at the last minute on Ebay-really disappointed as it was immaculate with minimal miles...Larry

You should buy a Kaw.  I just happen to know where there is a very expensive Z1 in Texas, needs minor restoration but runs great!

The Concours is a nice bike. Had a couple friends who owned them, one still does. The other did until a rogue deer decided not to be a dear and bolted in front of him one afternoon a couple months ago sending Steve to the hospital for a couple weeks. He was lucky to have survived the encounter. The bike got torn up pretty bad as did Steve with a few cracked ribs, cracked vertebra in neck and low back and numerous other injuries.
Not that this reflects on the Concours protection not being good, just that deer encounters are a roll of the dice for a motorcyclist.

I am glad you like the Pacific Coast. I will have to find out if you grow to like it more with time.  It might be a bike I would like to own in the future. It is on the short list right now.
The built in storage is attractive given I often would commute with a laptop and other electronics. Soft luggage gives them very little protection, not that plastic would improve that greatly, etc.

Glad the wobble is cured by tires. Hopefully it is a lasting cure. May need to have the balance checked once a year to ensure it remains balanced.

BTW, what's the motor you are working on? Got time to start a thread to share it's story?

Those cases are for a 400F.  A forum member had inquired so I pulled them out of storage and cleaned them up but have not heard back from him.  I have enough parts to make a complete bike but do  not have a title.  Intitiative is on the low side as I've already done at least 4 400f restorations and am in the process of another,  I should start a build thread on it but it seems to take me as much time to post as it does to build ??? ???   This 400 has had the motor rebuilt, all new frame and wheel bearings, new Hagons, new tires, a MAC header with a Dunstall muffler, Norman Hyde bars, Magura style levers, TX500 h/l and fork springs. In other words it is a ...................................frankenbike ::)  The tank, fenders, h/l shell and t/l have been at the painters for close to 2 months-parts are to be painted a combination of cancer awareness pink and an off white.  Plan is to donate the bike or auction it off and donate the proceeds.  My wife died from cancer so it is kind of a commemoration build...Larry

Very Cool Larry!
You should post some pictures of the build here, it's your thread and you can jack it anyway you want...
You've answered the bits and pieces mentioning them here...so direct questions to post #87, eh?

I'm glad to hear the wobble is gone, it didn't take much to dampen it. I was hoping the new tire would fix it. How much difference does the windshield make?
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Thanks Don.  It is possible the lack of windshield could have created some of the turbulence that contributed to the wobble.  I put the tires and windshield on at the same time so there isn't anyway to tell.  There was a ton of noise before the shield though  that has disappeared.  I've always had either a frame or handlebar mount fairing on all my daily riders, minimizes fatigue and the added protection from rain keeps me somewhat dry when I get stuck in a storm, so much so that I do not own a rainsuit...Larry

I knew that shape looked familiar, there was a Pan European Honda in 199X?? with 1100 engine.

Edit:  it eventually made it to the USA with 1300 engine:
