The 75 cb550 is ready to ride!
« on: July 15, 2013, 01:25:37 PM »
Well, I've been working on this one for a year.  Not a frame off restoration but lots and lots of stuff.  Rebuilt top end, rebuilt front disc brake system, new bearings everywhere, new tires, new seat cover, new Hagon shocks, rebuilt front forks, new mirrors, new rear rim (put on a cb750 rim to get more width - it works fine), new candlepower headlight, new chain, new paint (local guy did it looks good but slightly lighter than original), new spokes, new petcock (this one was hard to find) and of course lots of other minor things.  Looking forward to a weekend ride over to North Georgia soon.

Thanks to those on here who helped with a few parts.  Hondaman was a great help along the way too (got his ignition system too).

Thanks everybody!

I'm jealous!  I have the same bike in orange and it's sooo close.
