So Hi, nice to see work I did back on this forum. Thanks Georges for posting it. (merci bien)

If I can help out with orange flake questions, I'm happy to oblige. I've read the recipy and I have to say ist is difficult to compair. I use grams not pints.

The trick is doing it a lot. The whole deal with candy is that to get to a final matching result there are many different possibilities. For instance: If you take 50 grams of clear coat and one would add say 3 grams of candy concentrate one would need more layers to get to the same colour as when one uses 6 grams. (but not twice as many, it isn't that simple)
In this paricular excample you start with a silver base. But with other colours like candy gold you would already start with a gold metallic base and then top it of with a brownish ink concentrate. If you see it being painted you understand what's going on and why it is one of the most difficult paintjobs to do.

Your guy did a great job.  Here is my pride and joy miss her already.  Recently sold to another forum member.

I really need to update that thread as I learned quite a few tricks and it is a little dated.

Not me, James Knowles in Chattanooga, TN does this for CB750s (his speciality) as well as other bikes. He can match paint very well!

I recently stripped the rattle can black paint job off my bike. I was a little sad when i realized that the bike was once sunrise orange. The paint job sure is purdy.
