Sprocket Chain combinatin for 77 CB750
« on: July 17, 2013, 07:39:09 AM »
Hello all,

what sprocket (front - rear) and chain combination would you suggest for getting a bit more performance.

I'm thinking that there may also be a trade off with this option causing higher RPM's in 5th gear; would I be correct in assuming this???

On the other side of the coin, what combination would give me a better touring type of feel i.e. my 5th gear would act like a 6th?

Your options will depend if you stay with stock chain. Didn't the 77 have a 630? If so this might be a good time to change to a 530 so you have more options. I don't like to change the front more than 2 teeth smaller or the bend gets to tight.

Thanks Black,

I think the chain is a 530 will verify tonight. So dropping the teeth on the front will give me a bit more pickup is that the logic?
