oil pump

I have a 75 CB750 SuperSport how can I make sure the oil pump is working like it should, And also whats he right way to chage the oil drain,the motor then tank? how much oil does she need?? do I put the oil back in the tank or Motor?? Any help would be great..

Doesnt really matter the order u drain the oil...she should take around 3.5 quarts, and u put oil in the tank.  As far as checking the oil pump, thats a tough one.  First off is there something that make you think theres a problem?  The oil light should come one when u first turn the key, if that is happening u should be OK.  Beyond that you can install a oil pressure gauge.  Ive also heard of people removing the tappet caps on the valve cover while the bike is running, and look for oil.
