I agree with you Quail. We have to make life worth while. It's good to have activities that give us some thrill and keep us away from the drudgery of everyday life, but it's stupid and cruel to leave our loved ones alone because of dying of carelessness. If you are killed by a car in your way to work that's something heroical, as you was going to make money to raise your family. But dying because you wanted to put your bike to the test or for challenging another biker is simply stupid.
There should be always a balance. If our head rule, nobody of us would ever get a bike. If our heart rule, we would be living each day as if it was the last one. I think we should let our hearts rule until things get though, then it's time for the heart to take control.
