77 cb550 clutch pack question
« on: July 20, 2013, 10:54:53 PM »
This is how the clutch was from P.O.   He was riding it till the bitter end.

Is that gap in the middle of the stack "normal?" Or does he have the special plate in the wrong place?

Bottomline -- does this look right to you?
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

well yes, that's what I'm going to do of course.. I have new friction disks and springs.

It's just that I don't recall ever seeing one that wasn't perfectly spaced A/B/A/B/A/B etc.

This one has a plate gap right in the middle...

you have the later upgraded steel disc, its like two sandwiched with a wave washer between them,so long as its intact itll be ok,they never let go.
