K1 Wiring Issues
« on: July 24, 2013, 12:58:45 PM »
Just installed new CB750 Faces and they look great.  In the process, I screwed up the wiring.  At issue, appears to be, the wires from the left handlebar and the front turn signals.  The blinkers each have a black and a green wire.  I can't find a slot for one of the blacks AND one of the diagrams shows LB and G for the right side and G and O for the left side.  I found a home for each of the four wires out of the left  handlebar (Gr O LG LB) except for the Gr.  I also have a free Br wire that looks like it hasn't been in use.

I can't find any GR wires except the one I'm trying to find a home for.  Since I have G and Bk on both turn signals, should I have to plug the one side into different colors.

Any help would be really appreciated since I'm pissing away the best days of the season trying to get this fixed.
Thanks,
Ed

Hope this makes sense.

if it's an unmolested K1, the green should end at the signal stalk bolt inside the bucket, and the male lug goes to a multi-terminal green. That's the ground wire. The black from each should have a little tag at the bullet end denoting color. Blue for right, orange for left.
If your signal stalks have 2 wires coming out of them, they're from a later bike, and the wiring is going to be different, but do able

Phil
I think you might be a life saver.  The signals came from Honda and they both have a single black lead with green coming out of the stalk.  I'll go out and try it now.  THANKS!
