Where can I find tires for a Honda CA95?
« on: August 08, 2006, 12:17:54 PM »
I've just gotten a 1966 Benly Touring CA95 and I need new rubber for it. Anyone know where I can find the little white-wall tires it uses? I think they are 15-3.00 size, I'll have to double check.

I tried that website. I can't find that size in the vintage MC tire list and it seems unless you wnat car tires, the site is difficult to navigate. I found a few places that offer blackwall tires, but I'd like to find the proper whitewalls.

Dan,

A bit far out perhaps, but if you can't find the right whitewall, you might consider this. The article is about car tires, but might be an option for the CA.

Thanks for the link, Bob. I might do that if all else fails. I had seen on eBay a set of 4 plastic white trim rings that are mounted on the rim along with the tire and are locked into place when the bead seats on the rim. I didn't think this was a stock deal, so I let them pass by... :P

I actually had some on my first car, a '56 Chevy. One problem with them is if you don't get them mounted just right, the centrifugal force eventually shreds them at speed. Guess how I know :)
