Bearing Retainer, too damaged? Unsafe?

This may be a silly question, but do you guys think this bearing retainer is unsafe to reuse? In my attempts to get this thing out I put a hairline crack on the underside of it. I'm not really thrilled with the idea of waiting through 1 more week of great weather to wait for this part, but if reusing this would be really unsafe then I'm just gonna have to wait it out.

Also, for the benefit of those readers that may be having trouble with their retainers, I've tried using an adjustable pin wrench & homemade bar wrench that has been documented in these forums many times. The easiest, and probably the cheapest, way that I've found was to stick two similar size drill bits face down into my vice so only a little bit of it is poking out, and then putting the wheel over the vice and using the wheel to leverage the retainer out. I just wish I figured that out before I started smacking it with a punch  :P

That is not damaged badly at all.
You can make your own wrench or just use your 4 inch grinder disc changing tool.

The threaded part is intact and the retainer is not compromised or distorted. The only risk is for water to work its way into the hub and bearing. Some grease packed in the holes drilled would stop this. So, it is very viable part.

Yeah, I used Lucky's idea and pulled my Dewalt grinder's wrench out and it worked perfectly.

The seal fits inside the retainer so the holes are already sealed and the centre hole is always exposed anyway. The retainer stops the outer part of bearing from trying to move out and once it is tightened up to the bearing and the threaded part is peened to stop movement its job is done.
