With them being out of stock so many times at DSS and Honda always telling customers "no longer available" - wouldn't you think Honda would get back on the wagon to make more pipes and make some profit. Or is that demand that low?

Good point Johnie. Sure, it seems that every guy here with an early model 750?would like a new exhaust, but how 'bout everywhere else? Back in he day (I'm told) a lot of guys were chunking the stock exhaust in favor of aftermarket and that is still the case to for the cafe racer guys.
Even if Honda offered a set for let's say $1200, which seems like a fair price to me. How much profit is in it for them? $100-200?   They would have to sell 100 sets to make $15000, that's peanuts to a giant company like Honda and probably not of interest to them.
I don't agree with this just posting what I feel is their view.

The list of "discontinued" parts is growing - exhaust is just one of the more visable items.

It is to bad that someone in the membership doesn't have the tooling to copy these pipes. I have no idea what it would take, but I imagine a few $$$ just to get the set up tooling to do it...not to mention chrome.

Honda promised to always stock parts for their bikes I have read, guess they just built them too well and they have lasted too long ;)    :)

So true.  If not mistaken, Honda did not make the exhaust though. If that is the case, explains why it didn't last like the rest of the bike.

In an article I read a while ago it was Mr. Honda himself who said there will always be parts available for every Honda. I believe that was the case until he passed away...those parts passed away with him. Apparently, HONDA top  brass did not feel the same.
