rearset questions "F" model
« on: August 08, 2006, 08:52:03 PM »
I did a search, and didn't find any sources, but I'm looking into purchasing a set of rearsets for my 78F and the only place I have found that sells them is omars, http://www.rearsets.info/honda.html

Does anyone have another source for them? i would like to see if there are any other options before i buy.

I could probably fabricate my own, but I'm lazy....

If he's looking for a set to fit a '78, I don't know if my drawings will work.  Didn't '77-'78F's have a different rear footpeg mount or something with the frame that was different than the '76 that I have?

I made drawings on AutoCad for the '75-'76 750F, and are made to hold the rear master cylinder as well.

I think the 77-78's have the same setup as the 75-76 I'll have acess to a 75 this weekend so I can check for sure.

Omars has emailed me back and he has the Raask ones for $295.

Thanks, guys I knew I could couny on you!

Well, since the Raask site has seperate listing for the F1 and F2, I would assume they are different somehow. Then again, your investigation should tell for sure.

bringing back an old thread.
does anyone have an example of aftermarket rearsets for a 77 cb750 f2?
the frame setup doesn't seem to work for the tarozzis.

F1 and F2 are very different, cannot mix them!
Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

on the 78 you need to leave the right side original aluminum foot peg holders on the bike with the rassk rear sets that what I have on my bike.

i'd be pretty careful about those rearsets. i had a set on my k4 750. the quality of the materials is nowhere even close to being good. cheap castings and the splined arm that goes onto the splined shaft for the rear brake snapped in half on me, very very brittle.

Hey Steve. Are you sharing this file? I'd love to get my hands on it. Do you have a picture posted?
