New guy from Georgia
« on: July 15, 2013, 04:36:16 PM »
I have several of the older Hondas and had visions of doing a cafe racer CB650 but life changes have meant it is not to be as there are now some Very pressing personal matters that have to be attended to. I had been collecting parts for the CB650 build, a set of CR carbs, a piston kit,  some cams (can't remember make but think they came from Poweroll) and my prize possession was a NOS Bassani exhaust. As I said however there are some personal issues in my life and it's been three years and I've not been able to start on the bike so it's time to pass the only part left--the bassani--on to someone who could use / appreciate it. I've listed it in the "For Sale" section and there are pix of it here:

I am hopeful someone else will want this extra nice pipe for THEIR project  :).

I'll still have my 1975 CB400F Kaz Yoshima to enjoy as well as my CBX (I know not a sohc--sorry) every now and then.

Wish I could contribute more but not now due to impending surgery / other personal issues.

Wish you all the best,

Ricardo

Welcome.

I know of a 650 close. What years does it fit?

Toytuff,

No information on box to confirm fitment to a specific model / year but I bought it with hopes of using it on a 1979 model.

If there's anything I can do to help answer in more depth please feel free to ask.

Thank you

Ricardo

If I remember correctly it was a two tone blue. Might have been the 1981 CB650C.

Not my fav year by any means but I'm going by his shop tomorrow so I'll stop in and verify.

Sorry to hear about the surgery/issues. Wish you the best of luck with everything. I'm new to the forum too, and I'm just a few miles down the road in Athens. I don't know anyone over here with a 650, but I'll make sure all of the Honda guys I ride with know about your situation. Might be somebody local who needs that pipe or parts.
