New from Georgia
« on: July 27, 2013, 08:12:11 AM »
Hey guys. New to the site from ga. Not new to riding.  I was attracted to the sport with the alure of the ss bikes. After three years I've learned its not about going fast. I currently ride a 2012 Kawasaki ninja 650 and my wife and i share a 2009 kawi ninja 250. Our next purchase of two wheels is going to be a vintage bike. I'm not sure if we are going to tackle a full build or find a driver and do a mechanical restoration.  I'm drawn to the cb line up. A neighbor had a '72 cb750. The lines of that bike screams "motorcycle"
I'm wanting a bike from the 70's, and preferably an inline 4.
I will be using your site here for some much needed advice, guidance, and knowledge.
Please, feel free to give me any advice. I've never had a vintage bike but i grew up with vintage cars. I'm well aware of the fact that they are generally not as refined or reliable. So i think i know what I'm getting in to. I'm also an automotive mechanic by trade so i will do all the work that i can. I'm sure some will have to be farmed out. Here is my current bike.
