1976 CB550 Flasher question
« on: July 29, 2013, 06:08:11 PM »
My original flasher when I turn on the directional it gives a slow creek and the light comes on. I assume that the flasher is bad and went to Fleet Farm to purchase a new one. I picked up the only two prong one they had there which is electronic and heavy duty and it works fine when the bike isn't running. As soon as I start the bike they quit flashing.

Any ideas?

Your system voltages are low.  Weak battery (low voltage), poor wiring connections and/or worn switch contacts.

But wait, you expect any old two prong flasher to work in your system?
