Most times though, ordering from the stealership will get you full retail or a slight 5% discount. My local dealer will only match pricing from other local dealers and they check. They won't honor any internet pricing. The difference in actually getting your parts from online or your dealer may be only one day. The sample part I checked retailed at $4.47, Partzilla was $3.73, and Hondabike.com was at $3.00. Hondabike.com had a $10.00 shipping with no choice of carrier, I assume it would go UPS (whom I never use unless I have no choice). Partzilla has a choice of shipping, $6.95 for Priority Mail or $9.95 for Fed Ex Ground. On my sample part Partzilla wins the order due to shipping method and cost. The high cost of retail and little if any discounts keeps me from even visiting a dealership in my area.

+1 on both price, and shipping, hands down. When you combine, add up your savings...

Something to keep in mind with the shipping is that the 10 bucks is a minimum.  If you're ordering one part it sucks.  But, if you order more stuff at once, the shipping becomes a greater value.  If you need to order a bunch of OEM parts, it's usually the best way to go.

I keep a list of stuff I need to order for all the bikes and when something becomes a necessity I order the lot. It's true that you need to order a bunch to make it worthwhile shipping-wise.
