Looking to keep myself busy now the family r growing up & retirement looms - got my original 1979 CB550 F2 - maroon with rickman type 2 3/4 fairing to get me started - got some 650 comstars - requires tank paint & exhaust & just general tidying. Looking at lots of goodies u guys have for old CB's  over the pond tho.

Welcome.  Sounds like a nice project you're lining up.  You've had the 550 since '79?
Now  1972 CB350FX (experimental v2.0)
        1981 CB650c Custom with '79 engine (wifes)
        1981 CB650 engine
        2004 HD XL883C Custom
        1977 Yamaha XS750D (in progress)
Then 1972 CL175
        1964 Yamaha YGS-1T

kslrr - I tend to hang onto stuff - if it aint broke why change it. plus the cost to buy & own here is that much higher.

You sound like me....I hang on to all types of gizmos thinking that I might find a use for them in the future....and I usually do find a use for 50% of the stuff...
