Back from Stockholm.... nice weekend!
dude, you make a bike look nice.
i was all happy that mine's running, and the tank's primer black, and i have a new seat and bars on the way. it'll be nice. i'm hyped for it.
but looking at these pictures...you're an artist.
Thanks man, I do my best
DME, I reckon you have just built yourself a lucrative new career making exhaust systems for Honda owners.
Thanks, but no thanks, I´ll keep my dayjob for now
Anyway, I believe that most people does not need someone to make stuff for them.
Most (if not all) can do it themselves if they put their mind to it and give it a shot.
It´s not that difficult!
And it´s so fulfilling to make your own stuff
These pipes were made in approximatly 8 hours in total so time should not be an issue if you can give it a couple of weeks...
Price? 10$ so far (glasspack..) Paint, perhaps 10 more. Total: 20$
...Paint??...Why paint??...Polish!!...
(They are stainless, aren't they???...If you can TIG 1020, you can tig 304!!)
Nope, not stainless. Chromed steel.
If Honda had made them out of stainless steel, all restorers would have been happy campers
I agree
Build a few sets over the winter - and sell them for a crazy profit.
If you need a PR/Marketing guy shoot me a PM
Dont think I will.
This is just a hobby and I think I would be kind of bored by doing the same thing over and over.
Plus, I find it hard to believe that anyone would actually pay anything for them.
The "blueprint" is already here and free for anyone to copy!
Go ahead and do it!
It really just makes me proud if anyone think my ideas are good and worth using...
So go ahead Proteal, advocate my ideas but lets keep the crazy profits out of the deal
Deep, huh? I'm guessing the glasspacks eliminate the "popping" associated with open exhaust? Could you compare the sound to something commonly known? Or better yet, record the sound and post it somewhere on the 'net for all to hear.
It´s difficult to compare to something else.
It´s very different from a 4-1 of course.
Not so different from a stock exhaust with removed baffles, perhaps slightly louder but not as "metallic" due to the glasspacks.
Would probably be difficult to record it with any kind of decent soundquality, due to the loudness. Could give it a try, though...
How do you keep your ears from bleeding? I fired up my 400F with nothin' but a header and I still can't hear.
I always use earplugs when I ride, even if the bike is quiet.
This sound is also very different and not nearly as loud as a bike with just headers.
I do not mind loud bikes (or cars..) as long as they have a good sound.
Straight pipes (dragpipes on a Harley or a Honda for instance...) does not sound well in my ears.
To "metallic" and "thin" with no depth.
A friend of mine ran Kerkers 2-2 on his Bigtwin and they sounded great!
Thanks for all your input, guys!
Cheers
Daniel
