Nice! Have you found me an engine yet mate? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

No, I got it in 2009 with 33,000 on the clock. It was that clean when I bought it.

Ha ha, I got SB's joke first time out, and I'm almost 54! That "Standard" is a magnificent looking bike, it looks just like my 'Wang', without the fairing.

Don't worry about searching for an engine for me Paul, I think I'll rebuild my spare engine because the last engine I brought in ended up costing me $2K by the time I paid the shipping, and all the BS charges here in Oz. It wouldn't have cost any more to bring in a complete bike.

I think I'll finish a couple of projects and get them out the door, and start looking for a nice "Standard" like yours. If you see another one in that condition Paul, let me know? Cheers, Terry. ;D

The LTD was a GL1000 wire wheel bike, it had gold anodized rims and a dark burgundy color. I think the first EFI Wang was the GL1200i

That does get mixed up with the Limited fuel injected.
I also own a  76 LTD not stock but maybe one day bring it up for a restore. If you come across a LTD tool kit i'm in the market.

The sticker on the plate says 2010, probably 'ran when parked'. We'll see.

In early November I unloaded my VStar and bought a one owner 1984 Aspencade with under 47,000 miles. I only got to ride it twice before the snow flew, but it is impressive. Not as impressive as yours, Terry. After all, it's only an 84 and it's blue and it's an Aspencade. I am looking forward to putting on many more miles come spring.

No worries mate, the '84 Aspencade is a truly impressive bike, for sure. I might have to get offa my butt and get mine out on the road for a ride tomorrow! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Ha ha, well I think Steve needs a bit of 'Wang education Paul, so if I win I might need him to collect it and store it for me until I can arrange shipping?

Whattya reckon Steve, do you wanna take a walk on the mild side? I reckon the ride back from Stafford might convert you to the "Fellowship of the 'Wang"? Of course if it's snowing, that might be a problem, I guess.......... ;D

You might be able to talk me into collecting it for you, Terry.

Stafford is a suburb of Houston and I go there for business several times a year. Plus the bloke has 7 other bikes, I'm sure we could have a nice chat about bikes!

Thanks for the offer Steve, but I retracted my bid as I got a call back on another bike I've been looking at locally, and I can't afford (and don't have room in my garage for) both. Cheers, Terry. ;D
