  • So, what do ya wanna talk about today?
Yes men (and ladies, and fags, not that there's anything wrong with that...............) I believe that 1986 was a watershed year in Honda's dominance of the motorcycling industry, with the release of the most impressive Honda for that year, the incredible GL1200 Interstate.

Sure, it weighs about the same as a Chevy, and you wouldn't want to push it too hard through the corners, and even with linked brakes it's still possible to run it up the arse of slow moving Korean schidt boxes, nevertheless, it's a truly wonderful machine. I like to call it, "The (Honda) Chariot of the Gods".

It'll do at least 115 MPH (probably faster, but my massive testicles were creating some turbulance around the trailing edges of my 'Wangs impressive fairing causing a lazy high speed weave, plus I was running out of road, but there's no doubt it'd kick a CB450 (girls bike) in a 0-60 race.

On top of all of the above, it has an overdrive gearbox, (75 MPH @ 4000 RPM in 5th gear, second only to my mightily-impressive-when-it's-not-blowing-up Triumph Rocket III's 100 MPH @ 4000 RPM speed) hydraulic valve adjustment, (set and forget, well, "forget and forget" more like it) the afore mentioned linked brakes, the comfiest seat in the business, more boot space than a cadillac, and 56 MPG fuel economy, my God, it's not just impressive, it's fcuking incredible!

OK, now the rules for this thread is that there are no rules, (over and above the site's basic decency rules, of course) so no matter how much all you wankers try to talk me out of my blinkered, uninformed opinion, I promise I won't spit the dummy and run to the mods like a big baby to lock this thread before you all have your chance to reply.

Also, I won't lie and tell you that I didn't remove any of my posts, in fact, I won't remove any of my posts, so feel free to use them as ammunition against me, I am, after all, a man, and I can take it. Flame on brothers!

Oh, and good morning all.......... Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Evening Terry, King of the Dang Wangs.

You truly do make your Big Black Wang sound impressive. But I still don't want no Dang Wang.

Terry,

I'm looking at the impressive height of your impressive screen and am wondering just what were the ballistics of the launch that saw your mush meeting the top of said screen ? Could you draw a cartoon pic to enlighten us ?
If you can, please do it quickly because others will have restored something in their garage in the meantime.
Also I put my hands up, I can be childish and unprofessional at times.
I guess I ruined that thread for everyone.
Sorry

Terry, would you prefer Wangster? Wangasaurus Rex? Wangabilly?
You really want to pick on a Plastic Maggot? What more insulting can be said of such a beast?

That "funny" center stand is a ride off stand that is popular with the WANGers. Help keep the sides of the bike from kissing the pavement. Coincidentally, kissing pavement on a wang would be embarassing as well as expensive with the impressive amount of plastic adorning the bike.

Wing dings is a font of special characters...so what would Wang dings be?

As you "Anti-Wang" folk obviously need some educating about just how impressive the mighty 'Wang really is, I'll tell you all that the 'Wang is so huge, it needs not one puny centrestand, but two!

Well I said I wouldn't lie, so the truth is, that the mighty 'Wang's achilles heel is the cross tube on the frame that the centre stand mounts to can collapse, which leaves both wheels on the ground, and makes it almost impossible to get "off" the stand. Same problem with early CB750 K0's. I can still use it with blocks of wood underneath when I need to remove the rear wheel, but eventually I should probably strip the bike down so I can replace the tube.

I'm surprised that Honda didn't do a better job after the problem with the CB750K0, but there you go, even Honda have their bad days........ (like the day they released the CB450............) ;D

Hmm .. Terry says it weighs as much as a Chev, add Terry (another 1/2 chev with testes) and it then it will beat a 300lb girls CB450 from 0 to 60.  I'm thinking the centre stand is still down too while he dreams on the comfy seat :)  Oh wait, I forgot that the CB is out of gas, unlike our Aussie pal. ;D ;D ;D

I have owned the first year of the 1800 cc with ABS brakes. Pulled a trailer also. Had a three (3) digit VIN (at the end). Wonderful machine. The only bike I liked better was my 2008 Venture Limited and only because of the seating position. Both bikes with a passenger was just to heavy for me at slow speeds.

Wings are a wonderful machine thus the super large following. The reverse was a big plus also!

I think I prefer calling him a WANGer. It is much more descriptive I think.
After all he owns two of them.
