Right Front Signal Not Working
« on: August 03, 2013, 01:01:30 PM »
Hey all,

Having an issue with getting my front right turn signal to flash.

Connections tested good for continuity and power at turn signal socket.  Light bulb worked on left side.

Test light went off and on hot side of socket.

Continuity beeped on both light blue and white and light blue leads.

Also I was holding the housing and could feel the blinker current through my hand, does that mean anything such as a bad ground in housing?

Thanks in advance

Did you hook the test light to a positive source and then test the ground side of the socket?
99% of the time it is a ground issue.

+1...Don't know your model, but I had a similar problem on one of my CB350F's rear turns and it turned out to be a problem with the ground lead to the housing.  The blinker on mine is mounted to the frame through some vibration dampening washers so that it needs a separate lead for ground that is riveted to its body.  Turned out the rivet was slightly loose so that the electrical connection had failed.  A bit of judicious hammering with it removed from the frame, made a positive contact.
