Carb hoses

What size tubing do you need to rebuild carbs on a 77 cb750 F? There are 2 sets of hoses coneecting the carbs. I have one set that looks good. The other is cracked and not servicable. They are both much thinner that fuel line. Can you just use some of that yellow lawnmower gas line? What size OD and ID should I be looking for? Or do I have to go back to the dealer and get raped again?

...def don't go back to the dealer, besides, I bet you can't just get the tubes. Any fuel safe tubing with work...take the old one to the hardware store, or local bike shop, and compare it to what they have.
...so your rebuilding a set of 77 carbs? Have fun with the choke arm/spring!!!

There is some serious tension on that spring. I am trying to get them cleaned up on the rack. I broke a gasket taking them apart. I was hoping to just be able to give them a cleaning and get her running the bike only has 9000 on the clock. Now the search for reasonably priced carb kits begins. My books finally arrived so now I am not flying blind, however I thing this forum is more help than the books.
Thanks to all for the continuous stream of answers.

...FYI, you can buy the gaskets only on Ebay, although you may have to dig a bit to find them. Also on re-assembly, it doesn't take much tension in that spring to get the flats to close, just one revolution...
