Dime City 2.5" Speedo Needle Broke
« on: August 06, 2013, 11:09:24 PM »
Only have 1,200 miles on this speedo and using a rubber washer as suggested and it looks like my needle broke tonight. Odometer still ticks off the miles. Speedo needle is stuck below and won't move and it doesn't look like there's anyway to get inside this thing. Any ideas...

Contact them but keep in mind they are not the manufacturer of the unit. I know the trip version they sell is made by Baja Designs, but I'm not sure about the non-trip version. Possibly by Drag Specialties. Did you mount straight to the triple? What type of rubber washer did you use and where?

It shouldn't matter whether they manufacture it or not, they sell it and should stand behind anything the sell.....  Contact Dime City ASAP... ;)

Check that the drive cable is screwed firmly onto the back of the speedo...

Still waiting to hear back from Dime City. It's only got 1,200 miles on it, I've had it maybe a month and a half. Just using a regular 1/8" thick rubber washer between the mounting bracket and triple tree mounting point. Drive cable has nothing to do with the needle being stuck off the face. Like I said, odometer works just fine and it is screwed all the way in.

Gonna call tomorrow if I don't hear back in the morning. Thanks guys.
