engine compatability?

hey all
i have been buying parts (piston rings, gasket sets, etc) for my 76 750f project. came across a low mileage 74 750k engine. would my parts work on it?

Dont think so Head gasket is different and i think rings are a different thickness

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

...I'd stick with only 76F parts for the engine internals. I think the 76F was kind of a beast all unto itself. It is a super sport, yet it doesn;t have much in common (internally) with the 77/78 super sports, which are nearly idenical...
