I just think brown in a good shade can be a subtle color that is actually quite nice. I was seriously considering brown as an option over black because black will make my CB450 look too small for my big ass, so brown was a consideration because it's dark, but doesn't shrink the bike down nearly as much.
Bill posted the
worst possible picture of a brown CB450 with shoddy contrast which I still think was directed at me, especially given the syntax of the thread title..
People who hate brown: I'm shocked that you would dare to eat chocolate, drink mochas, wear a baseball mit, or approach a UPS worker. How could you dare to wear brown khakis or shorts? What about that pair of brown shoes in your closet? You wouldn't want to tell most people in the world that they haves poopy eyes.
Poop isn't the only thing that's brown, just like piss isn't the only thing that's yellow.
With that logic we should start hating white or cream and say that it looks like jizz?
Again, to each his own. Everyone has different emotions for colors and reasons for not preferring them. I like the Repsol color too. That's the color I would get if I were to get a CBR. I like Orange and black that is loud and in your face. That's the way a CBR should be, that's how it's marketed too! Worst thing you can do is color it more bland and make it look like every sport bike in the world.
God forbid it be red. Red is the worst. Only because....who doesn't have a red bike? No one. I'm even guilty. I strive to be different from the pack.
I can't say why I dislike blue. It doesn't make sense on land vehicles. Blue is the color of the sky. A bad shade of blue will make your car invisible to other drivers which isn't that safe. Many people also probably dislike green, but green to me I think of as a forest and I've always liked SUVs in green. They look great when you are offroading. As far as blue, don't get me wrong, I would still gladly take a Boss 429.
