Really, brown being an ugly color for a 450? I disagree.

Did you read the thread name?  Scheme, not color.   Brown is a #$%*e color though [sorry, could not resist]

I'll let my girlfriend know that you guys think her bike looks ugly. You posted her exact bike, and called it ugly. That's kinda insulting IMO.

She's a design grad...and I'll let her know that a bunch of guys think Brown, Black, and Gold are #$%*ty schemes.

It's a good thing you guys are not designing bikes.

In my opinion the ugliest scheme is:

followed closely by silver and black stripes.

Why do you take things so personal?  She bought a 30+ year old bike for $450, she didn't design it.

OP doesn't like it, that's his opinion, not doing it to spite you. You want everyone to think like you?

I had an ugly K6 painted in flat black paint, jokingly named her Black Buty. Got it running great but before I started cosmetic restoration, found the Z1 that I had to buy.  Needed space and cash, put ugly Black Buty up for sale and sold it to a guy who truly thought it was beautiful.

Different strokes...

Is this considered southern reasoning? Ok, let me follow suit. I'll post his exact bike and paste how ugly the scheme I think it looks because it's just my opinion, especially with the un straight paint stripes and the tacky as #$%* looking yellow plug wires. But don't take it personal, it's just my opinion.

+1 745. Would not want any of my guitars painted by him.

This is called baiting. But don't worry, I'm not upset. But you did offend someone who is undeserving out of the complete blue, so congratulations! Didn't know making enemies was an activity around here. Good going fellas!

Not just ugly, fugly!

Not smooth and elegant, chunky...the kind of blowing chunks.
The brown is not a nice shade and is just flat, tank decal scheme does not compliment the bike, just downright fugly.

Going to look for that stuff GA. Have two tanks with light rust to do this fall. I'm waiting to see the tanks first then go from there.

What I thought was clunky were the badges on the side covers, and the huge decals on the tank. The 73 750 Brown, which my bike originally was, is very similar, and while I do not personally care for it, that is not what bothers me. The shape and color of the badge and decal did not fit the general lines of the bike.

If you think this is bad, remember american cars from the same period!

Are you a two stroke by any chance?  Seems like all you need is one pull and off you go  ;D

I worked with plenty of designers and sometimes what they created and consider pretty would be questionable at the least.
