You will really feel the difference that old tire is hard as a rock. I just got a BattleAx rear 120/90/17 rear sooo nice. It had a 130 from PO. I never new such a small change would make such a difference. The old tire looks flat in the middle with sharp corners on both sides and when leaning I could feel it drop on and off those edges. I just got use to it and didn't notice how bad it was. No more big tires on little rims for me.

Long story short.  ::)

I thought I ordered a 110-90-19 tire but the tube type was in fact a 100-90-19. No worries there but I ordered a 110-90-19 tube. Dang it!

Will the 110 tube still work in a 100 tire? If not I'm buying another tube.  :-[

What is those marks on your rotor?
A reflection of the diamond plate the bike is on.

Very good LesterPiglet!!!
I was going to say reflection but you nailed it.

Well this is interesting. Tires were replaced by PO. I just noticed on the back is a tubeless tire running a tube.

The only size I can find is a 110-90-19. It has a 110-80-19 on it now. Would the (90) be wider?

tt
That is acceptable . Slightly lowers the rating thats all.

How old are the tires ? Wasn't there a recent thread about new Avons cracking also ?
No. Never heard of that but if you leave your bike out in the 100ยบ sun they will look like that in one year.

Is the tube really that specific? I know bicycle tubes cover a range of sizes. I can't believe that 10mm will make a difference.

Well, I played it safe and returned the tube. Bought the correct size. The right one was $7.00 cheaper than the wrong size so with return shipping label they provide it was hit the "easy" button.

Just have to wait a few more days. It was my mistake. Thanks guys.

Up at 0300 hrs. waiting on the shop to open at 0800. Dang, I need a nap!

So, quickly. Dunlop tire. Yellow dot opposite of valve stem or on the stem.

I thought I read opposite of stem. Heavy side.

Don't know about Dunlop but my bridgestones are marked for the light spot yellow spot by the stem.

Yellow dot goes to stem if I read it correctly.

I think I'll have them put the rim only on the balancer and see where the heavy side is located. I'm not a fan of wheel weights unless the spoke type which they never have.

Yes but that is mine I would think they would all be the same maybe someone with Dunlops will see this or you can try Dunlops site to find out. I MIGHT trust the guy at the shop if he is an oldtimer.

Well this went smooth. 25 minutes in and out.  8) The shop also carried both in spoke weights. Took very little weight.

Mounted and ready to go. Now the Dream is next. Pinched the tube. Not attempting, take it in.  ::)
