You can always tell an old biker: he adds a wheel!

Honda 1983 DOHC 900cc, fuel injected, N/A.

It's lacking the ponies under the hood that your Rocket has and it's not going to do 136 either. But I like it.

This is my daily ride ( or was until Wednesday 3:05 ) 95 harley sportster 1200 . Motor was worked by the PO, no idea what was done but it kicks ass above 3000 RPM. Accident damage is visible, i'll post another pic after the repairs. Come on Harley doubters, ive actually ridden one and love it. Still have a basket case 73 350 four that needs attention.  8) Hope to start a build thread this winter.

Thanks, its a wonderful ride aside from being solid mount. I cant keep front indicator bulbs alive. The yellow was a little meh at first but i have really grown to love it. The bike has a much lower center of gravity , makes for an easier ride, puts a smile on my face every time. Got any pics of your sporty?

G'Day mate, I've only got one pic in a frame sadly, and I don't have a scanner at the moment. It was a great bike though, the PO had installed a "Roadster" tank on it which I always wanted to remove and install the original peanut tank (which was still sitting at the shop where I bought the bike) and put some louder pipes on it, but I ran out of money, and eventually traded the bike back on a car and some cash.

If I could find it now I'd buy it in a heartbeat, it'd be nice to get it back, but that was 1987, so there's not much chance of that I guess. No biggie, I'll find an early Evo Sporty one day and add a big bore kit like this one for 1442cc of V Twin fun! ;D

I've never been a peanut tank on a stock frame guy. I like em on a raked frame slung low but i do like the fat boy style wide tanks withe the stock geometry. I'm giving a solid eye to the new Indian ( polaris ) bikes. Big sweeping fenders , good lines, i hope they stick around but the prices say otherwise. Just built a heritage softail with a guy that we put some dragger fenders, 14" apes w/ 3 in risers, spoke wheels, solo seat, looks pretty wild.

Not on the asphalt yet but just a few feet away. Leaving my drive early this morning on the GL1000. I know I'm a broken record and I keep praising this bike for it's smoothness and comfort and plenty of power for me when I need it or just want to have a little fun with it. And two up with the wife on the back it does great and she can be comfortable to boot. When Mama is happy everybody is happy ;D If she starts riding a lot on it I need to fine a backrest that looks good on the bike to give her more comfort .

I want to go for a ride today, it's a magnificent spring day and should get up into the 80's for the first time in a few months. I'm thinking I might take the massive Triumph out again, it really is a bit pathetic that I've had it for 5 years now, and it's only clocked up a tad over 7000 miles............ ;D

With a little more effort and welding a kick stand to the frame, they can also work on the GS1000G's...



It even gained about 10HP too.  ;)

Our new ride: 1983 CB1000C. Has about 3,200 on the clock - about 1,200 of those from our trip to Savannah & Hilton Head last week.

On GA 348, outside of Helen, GA
