We took a ride for a few days in the middle of September, with Crater Lake as one of the destinations.  I hadn't been there in at least 15 years, and the other two had never been.  So a good ride for the last week of what the calendar says is summer.  Here's a few pix -

I've posted photos of this old store/cafe in Brogan, OR before as I will usually stop there, being an hour and a half out and a good place to take a break. It sadly has been closed for many years.  This time the owner came by and we talked for awhile.  He bought it a few years ago and has plans to fix it up.  I wish him luck as it has sat empty for many years and will take a lot of time and money before he is done.

A bridge on a side road somewhere between Long Creek and Monument, if I remember right.  Purty country.

Somewhere around Twickenham -

Mitchell, OR -

Tenting as usual.  La Pine State Park.  A little pricey because it is in Oregon, which used to be the northernmost county of California.  Washington has that distinction now, though.  We had a little frost in the morning -

Crater Lake.

The rest area on US20 near Brothers, OR, while a long way from anywhere, is not without some amenities -

Low of about 36 to high of 42. I tried nitrile gloves as glove liners as I'd heard they help, it was different but not much warmer.

This link should lead to the Google maps drive by from October 2019 with lots of orange leaves.

It's a cool spot I should visit again and spend some time.

I've been doing some parts replacing and servicing of things that I hadn't done yet. Today it got up to 55*F so I busted the GS out of jail for a couple miles of wind therapy.
We drug it home two years ago today.

I only have a few bikes that aren't 4's. The 750 that I'll jump first for a ride to town. Can hardly wait to ride it again next season.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.
550 Snowbike -Somebody had to do it.
