'93 R100GS-PD, Garden Pass on NV278 on a ride from Eureka NV to Elko NV one memorable Mother's Day a few years ago.  Temps had been in the 80's the day before.

With my wife we done roads around Salzburg - Berchtesgaden and such.  Yes, Alps are something else.

Very nice, I like BSA's.
Is that a 500?  I met a guy that had one last year at a vintage bike show and have wanted one ever since.
Any electric issues?  With upgrades, they can be reliable bikes.

No, these were Stelvio, Furka, and Staller Sattel. We did the Grossssglockner yesterday though. It looked better in the beginning of May (pic 2), when they opened the road, with lots of snow still.

I often had British Bikes on the side. One was also a BSA Lightning which had 650ccm. Electric issues? Parts come from Lucas which was known at the time as the Prince of Darkness.
I found this interesting read about Lucas from which I quote:

Great pics Wobbly, how did you mount your GoPro on your helmet? I've just received a new GoPro2 and there are some adhesive strips with it, but I don't know if they'll hold the camera on at speed? Cheers, Terry. ;D

With a 12.67 second quarter mile time (the 1986 Interstate was the quickest of all the 4 cylinder Goldwings) it'll leave your old rattler in the dust! I'll tow it behind my Rocket III just in case you try to sneak your beautiful CB1100R in............ ;D

It's 650cc.  Twin carbs.  I have electronic ignition and a solid state regulator.  The only Lucas parts left is one of the handlebar switches and the headlight.  I replaced all the wiring.  In the mid 70's I had a 69 Lightning.  The difference in riding the 2 bikes is quite a contrast.  The BSA is very nimble, but the vibration will numb your hands and feet.  The CB750 is heavier feeling, but very smooth riding.

Terry, the clip holds fine on horrible roads or at 188mph on the German Autobahn.  ;D
And you get nice videos from that angle.

Thanks, Terry.  I'll have had that bike for 20 years in a few days.  As Wobbly noted, it will handle about anything.  Decent ones are getting harder to find around here, maybe the same in your neck of the woods.

you do peter , try and do the stelvio in late july before that the weather can be iffy and later  europe is on holiday and its full of motorhomes.  the grossglockner isn't so bad as its a toll road but avoid weekends if possible .
