A farmer recently surprised his wife with a field of 60 acres of sunflowers for her birthday year, they had been married over 35 years and sunflowers were her favorite flower...
I forget the details and think it was 60 acres but could have been 40... and how someone surprises a farmers wife growing sunflowers I don't know given they grow tall...
Apparently they are uncommon in that state so they have drawn quite the interest of anyone living in driving distance.

Ukraine raised a ton of them before the war being a major supplier of sunflower seeds and sunflower oil on the world market. The grain they raised provided food for many other countries as well...so, the affects of the Ukraine-Russia war is far reaching.

We had three of the bikes out yesterday, the Interceptor 1000, Sabre 700 and the Suzuki GS 1100E. I rode the GS, it's so much fun to do hard acceleration runs on it. Jonesy says he is always seeing light under the front wheel.

03 Ultra Classic, Key West, Florida. Southern most point in continental US. My favorite road trip of all time- except I wore a short sleeved shirt on the trip down and was pretty badly sunburned. I could not stand to be in the sun for a couple of days! Still had a BLAST

That's a pretty apt description! Another advantage is I can kick start the bike and reach the throttle, which is a definite advantage - a left side kick start and low clip-ons is a real fiddle...

Yes it is the way to go . Whatever makes it more fun to ride and means you will use it more often .

Rode the Varadero 1,060 kilometres last weekend. +400 of it was on gravel, logging trails and fire routes. Tim rode his new Yamaha and my 15 year old HONDA had no issues keeping up. We had a blast.

They are air shocks. I let the pressure down hoping to reduce the harshness of them. They still hurt my back a lot when I hit dips in the road.

One of the things on "the list" over the winter is to get better shocks for it.
Suggestions?

Could they be bottoming out due to lack of air? That would be quite a hit?
My buddy Gary just put new shocks/ springs on the back of his GL1000. It has a very plush ride. I’ll ask what he got.
