CB100 clutch cable routing?
« on: August 13, 2013, 07:30:10 AM »
I think the clutch was different on the CB125's, because the clutch cable on the 125 frame I have was clamped to the front downtube. On the CB100 motor that I've strapped to it, the clutch actuator is on the right side. Anyone have any pics of how the cable is supposed to go?

Tug,
I don't have any pics..,but the way they used to run the clutch cable on those was w/ a special cable holder/bracket attatched to the R. side of the top rear motor mount bolt along w/ a threaded cable adjuster.

            hope that helps.

Thanks... finally figured that out. Ordered the "clutch cable receiver" yesterday. This bike is $15ing me to death! :)

I'd still like to find an 82' CB125S that's been sitting,complete.
Those bikes are great mileage champs that're barely able to go from exit to exit on the interstate;a step up from a moped.
I like to slow down & appreciate the Journey sometimes..,& that's the bike to do it on  ;)
