I've pretty much decided to lay off the hot-rod stuff for now and just do a refresh of the 550 I have.
In the past, I've bought a complete gasket kit just to get the parts for the top end. If I remember correctly, it's more economical that way. However.....
Let's say I just want the gaskets and O-rings needed for freshening up the cylinders and putting the head back on. What do I need and where's the best place to get them? Is there a particular head gasket that's worth spending a few extra bucks on?
From memory, I need:
1 base gasket
1 head gasket
6 sealing rubbers (pucks)
2 O-rings for the oil feed tubes
Is that it? I already have some valve stem seals.
