newbie in Georgia working on a cafe conversion 79 cb 650
« on: August 13, 2013, 09:34:33 AM »
Hello guys and gals. Just picked up a virgin 79 cb 650 and have already began the process of a cafe conversion.I have a few questions as I have not owned an inline 4 for 20 years.
Im using this board via my phone so please be patient with my lack of pics etc.
If anyone owns  a 79 650 currently and is running stock carbs but with pod filters please send me a text (770) 402- 8626 I have a few qyestions about propper jetting to get a baseline on these carbs.
Im in Atlanta Ga and my name is Sonny. Thanks!

welcome Sonny.
I run a 79 650 with pods, a good baseline main is 125. be warned tho, these carbs aren't pod friendly depending on your riding style, so if you don't mind lots of fiddling carry on. I'm not in the states so intranet will have to do.

Welcome Sonny!  Fair warning, Carbs+Pods=Can of Worms.  Lots of good tech about them.  Lots of good personal experience stories about them.  But, bottom line is that there are far to many variables involved to get a definitive answer.  No two bike/rider combinations are the same.
