Output shaft measurements needed.
« on: August 13, 2013, 08:20:50 PM »
I have an output shaft out of a 76 CB750 Super Sport motor that needs to be adapted in order for this motor to fit in a 78 frame. The out put shaft from what I understand in 78 has a 10mm offset. So, I am trying to figure out the best way to do this. Either put in a shaft from a 78 motor (if it fits) or maybe buy a offset sprocket and flip it the direction I need to space out the sprocket in order to align it with the rear. Attached are images of the shaft out of my 76 SS motor.

The '78 shaft won't fit. Use an offset front sprocket.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
