CB400-4 front signal wiring
« on: August 13, 2013, 07:36:24 PM »
Hello to all,
I`m a long time member but have been without a Honda for a few years. Recently picked up a `76 400 four fresh from a thirty year slumber.  In refurbishing the bike I`m converting to Euro spec turn signals and tail light. I have sourced the mounts and brackets from a UK vendor and plan to use a real nice set of original Stanley signal lights from a 350-4 that I have in the garage. The rear are a straight swap but the front are also single wire lights.
My question is, what is the best way to wire these single wire lights to my 400 four ?  I understand the need for two wires to be the lack of ground due to the rubber mounts on the signal bracket. Any tips on grounding the front turn signals in a easy and unnoticeable way is most appreciated.

solder a wire on the inside of the blinker housing. now you have your original hot wire and now the new ground wire. wire them up like you would any other blinker or light or whatever

Thanks for the help, on second thought,  I guess I should have figured this on my own.
